Google’s gDay

Edit: Haha! April Fools to all who believed.

“Search tomorrow’s web, today!”

Just thought I’d share this with you all. You’ve heard of gMail, now try gDay. Google is rolling out a new service that will allow you to search tomorrow’s web, today.

Google gDay

How does it work? Well, first and foremost, it’s powered by MATE™ (Machine Automated Temporal Extrapolation). Developed at Google’s Sydney offices, MATE’s™ machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques are simply beyond what we’ve seen before.

Currently, Google’s spiders crawl the internet, collecting information from current websites. Using several factors like recurrence plots, fuzzy measure analysis, and the weather forecast from the iGoogle weather gadget, they can create a sophisticated model of the internet 24 hours into the future.

It’s pretty amazing stuff, but then again this is Google that we’re talking about, so anything is possible. Check out gDay.
